We all love cookies, but if you've tasted alfajores before, you know they are little sweet delights. Now you can learn how to make some of my most popular recipes and bake them yourself at home.

Besides learning how to make alfajores, you will also learn all about dulce de leche, storage, presentation and so much more in this fully interactive masterclass.

This is a hands-on cooking class with demonstrations, individual and group work.

IMPORTANT

  • Please read all the information in this description before purchasing a class.
  • One ticket per person. You can attend with more than one child; just make sure to book separate tickets for everyone.
  • Once purchased, that's it! A few days before the class, you'll get a confirmation email as a reminder, including place, time, and more info.
  • Please check your spam folder and add paula@encasacookingspace.com to your contacts list.
  • Classes are subject to cancellation if the minimum attendance is not met. In this instance, refunds will of course be issued.

The recipes

We'll cover basic concepts, tips, storage and more info to learn how to make:

  • Traditional alfajores
  • Alfacookies (chocolate chip cookies filled with dulce de leche)
  • (A third recipe may be added if time allows).

The class

This class is geared for entertainment with cooking/baking skills taught throughout the class. It is not expected for every guest to personally make every recipe.

The experience has a nice balance of demostrations/instructions and group/pair work. Only 6 people per class, so expect to get the full experience and get your hands dirty!

We'll make the dough from scratch and then learn how to make the biscuits, the art of filling and assembling the alfajores using dulce de leche — the most known and sought-after spread in Latin America! You'll also learn plenty of expert tips and tricks you can use with your freshly baked alfajores.

At the end of this delicious experience, you will have a whole new-found knowledge of Latin biscuits, a smile on your face and a box full of homemade alfajores to enjoy with your family - if you decide to share, of course.

  • This class is for adults + children from 12 years old.
  • Knowledge required: No experience is required. Newbies welcome!
